Podcast Websites
We offer integration with Pexels, a stock photo platform, so that you can easily add photos into your WordPress site. This integration comes in the form of a plugin that is automatically installed on our Podcast Websites packages.
Do I Have Access to the Pexels Integration?
Our Pexels integration is included with our Podcast Websites packages.
If you are currently on a different package, but would like to switch, please contact our Sales team at [email protected].
Setting Up Pexels
You will need:
- A Pexels Account
- A Podcast Websites hosting account
There are several steps required so that you can use the Pexels integration.
- Generate a Pexels API Code
- Add the API Key to Your Website
- Adding Pexels Images to Your Media Library
Step 1: Generate a Pexels API Code
In order for the Pexels integration to work, you must first connect Pexels to your website. To connect, you need a Pexels API key. This is free and can be obtained from your Pexels account.
To find your key:
- Login to your Pexels account at pexels.com. If you don’t already have one, you can sign up at: pexels.com/join-consumer
- Once logged in, hover over the user icon in the top right
- In the drop-down, click Image & Video API
- Click the Your API Key button
- Fill out the form, then click the Generate API Key button
- Copy the key under Your API key
Once you have the API key, continue to the next section.
Step 2: Add the API Key to Your Website
- Log in to your WordPress admin interface. In most cases, you can access this at: https://yoursite.com/wp-admin. See specific instructions for accessing your WordPress admin interface in this article.
- In the left sidebar, click on the Pexels tab
- In the textbox, paste the API code you copied earlier
- Click Save Settings
Once saved, the Pexels integration will become active on your account.
Step 3: Adding Pexels Images to Your Media Library
WordPress stores all your media files in a place called the “Media Library.” In this step, we’ll show you how to add images from Pexels into this library.
- Log in to your WordPress admin interface. In most cases, you can access this at: https://yoursite.com/wp-admin. See specific instructions for accessing your WordPress admin interface in this article.
- In the left sidebar, hover over the Pexels tab, then click Get Images in the drop-down
- You can use the search box, color, and orientation fields to search through Pexels images
- Click on images you want to add to your media library. You may select more than one
- When finished, click Add to Library
Note: starting a new search before clicking the Add to Library will discard any selected images without adding them to the media library.
Once added, the images will be available from your media library. You can access the media library from the WordPress admin interface or directly in posts or pages. See our Adding Images Directly to a Post or Page for more information.
