Podcast Websites
Podcast Websites accounts come with features and exclusive themes designed for easy setup and seamless integration. However, there are options for those who want to use a third-party theme on a Podcast Websites account.
Can I Use a Third-Party Theme with Podcast Websites?
Yes, you can use your third-party theme on a Podcast Websites account. However, some features may not work as intended, like the Podcast Import feature.
To help, we designed the Pair Theme Support plugin. This plugin makes the Podcast Import feature compatible with most third-party themes.
How does the Pair Theme Support plugin work?
Once activated on a compatible theme, the Pair Theme Support plugin provides the necessary elements for the Podcast Import feature to work as intended.
When the Podcast Import feature creates a new post for a podcast episode, the Pair Theme Support plugin places a shortcode on the top of the post. This shortcode adds a media player so that visitors can play the podcast directly in the episode post. Without the shortcode, the post would only contain episode details.
Activating the Pair Theme Support Plugin
To activate the Pair Theme Support Plugin:
- Log in to the WordPress admin interface. In most cases, you can access this at: https://yoursite.com/wp-admin.
See specific instructions for accessing your WordPress admin interface in this article. - In the left sidebar, click the Plugins tab
- In the Plugins column, locate the "Pair Theme Support Plugin" and click the Activate button
This will activate the Pair Theme Support plugin.
While this plugin works with most themes, it is not guaranteed to work with every theme. In the case that the Pair Theme Support plugin does not work, you can switch to any of our exclusive themes for seamless integration with the Podcast Import feature:
