How to Change Your Site from HTTPS to HTTP

When you add an SSL certificate to a domain on your hosting account, the domain will default to being served over HTTPS. If you do not want your site to use HTTPS to serve your site securely,  you can change the default from HTTPS to HTTP. Just follow the instructions below.

How to Change Your Site from HTTPS to HTTP on Non-WP Hosting

Choose the tutorial that reflects your ACC interface type: 

• Legacy Interface
• New ACC Interface

If you are using the Legacy Interface:

1. Log in to the Account Control Center (ACC) at my.pair.com
2. Click Domains in the left sidebar
3. Click Manage Your Domain Names in the drop-down
4. Click the name of the domain that you want to change to HTTP
5. Find the Change Non-SSL Site Display Option button and click it
6. Next to When accessing [domain URL], click the box and select Display the site normally
7. Click the Update button

Your site will now be served over HTTP instead of HTTPS. If you want to change the default at any time, you can repeat these steps, but select Redirect to https://domain.com.

If you are using the New ACC Interface:

1. Log in to the Account Control Center (ACC) at my.pair.com
2. Click Domains in the top navigation bar
3. Find your domain in the “Domain” column
4. Click its Edit button
5. In the “Services” section, find Non-SSL Site Display Option and click its Edit button
6. Next to When Accessing http;//domain.com: select Display the site normally from the drop-down
7. Click the Update button

Your site will now be served over HTTP instead of HTTPS. If you want to change the default at any time, you can repeat these steps, but select Redirect to https://domain.com.

5. Scroll down to the Non-SSL Site Display Option section
6. Next to When accessing http://domain.com: click the box and select Display the site normally
7. Click Update directly underneath the display options box

Your site will now be served over HTTP instead of HTTPS. If you want to change the default at any time, you can repeat these steps, but select Redirect to https://domain.com.

If you are using the New ACC Interface:

1. Log in to the Account Control Center (ACC) at my.pair.com
2. Click WordPress in the top navigation bar
3. Find your site and click its Site Domain icon
4. Click the URL in the “Name” column
5. In the “Non-SSL Site Display Option” section, click the field and select Display the site normally
6. Click the Update button

Your site will now be served over HTTP instead of HTTPS. If you want to change the default at any time, you can repeat these steps, but select Redirect to https://domain.com.
