Site Limits on Shared Hosting Plans

Some Shared Hosting plans include a limit on how many Sites you can create. A Site is an individual website with its own content and configuration in your account.

Hosting Account Types

The hosting account types below apply to new accounts created on or after February 2, 2026. Accounts created before this date keep their existing plan unless they choose to switch.

Hosting Account TypeNumber of Sites Included
Essential1 Site
Standard10 Sites
ProfessionalUnlimited Sites

Shared Hosting plans not listed in this table already include unlimited Sites.

If you are on a plan listed above and need to host more Sites than your plan allows, consider upgrading to a VPS hosting option, which supports unlimited Sites and offers more flexibility.

What Counts as a Site

A Site is a complete website that you configure in your hosting account. It lives in its own directory and includes all of its content and functionality.

A Site: All URLs point to the same website, stored in one directory, with one set of content.

You can associate multiple domain names to the same Site. As long as they all load the same website, they count as a single Site under your plan.

Examples of a single Site:

  • Multiple domains all loading the same website
  • A single CMS installation managing all pages and sections of one website
  • Subdirectories under the same parent directory that are part of the same website

Situations that count as more than one Site:

  • Two separate websites stored in separate directories
  • Using code or tools to deliver more than one standalone website from a single website configuration

If the content functions as a separate website, it is treated as a separate Site.

Staying Within Your Plan Limit

Each Shared Hosting plan supports a specific number of Sites. You can check your plan details in the Account Control Center. See Finding Your Account Details

If you need to host more Sites than your plan allows, you will need to upgrade to a plan that includes a higher limit.

If Your Account Goes Over the Site Limit

If your account is set up in a way that exceeds your plan’s Site limit, our team may reach out to help you bring the account back within the allowed number of Sites. In some cases, we may suspend or terminate the domain or account.
