How to Add Sieve Filtering Code in RoundCube (Advanced)

Note that this is an advanced method for adding Sieve code to RoundCube. There is an easier, more user-friendly method available, which is outlined in our How to Add Sieve Filtering in RoundCube article

Sieve is a scripting language that can manage incoming emails. For more information about how sieve works, see our article, What is Sieve Email Filtering?

If you wish to know more about sieve syntax, you can see our article, Sieve Syntax and Common Recipes.

A Note About User Interfaces

We will show you how to add sieve recipes below. But it's important to note that RoundCube has three distinct user interfaces: Classic, Elastic, and Larry. Since the interfaces change the location of some buttons, we have included a tutorial for each user interface. For best results, find the tutorial that matches your user interface.

We've included screenshots of each interface below so you can easily identify which you are currently using. Click the name of each interface to see a screenshot of its layout.
