Which Pair hosting accounts support Pair Malware Security?

Do I have to use Pair Malware Security to remove malware?
No. You are not required to use Pair Malware Security. You can clean the site yourself or work with another security provider.
If malware is found on your account, you are responsible for removing and securing the affected website. Pair may deactivate that account if malware is not removed. For more information, see Pair’s Hosting and Domain Policies.

Choose Detection for monitoring and alerts, Defense for automatic malware removal, ThreatShield for additional attack prevention, or Complete Security for automated protection plus cleanup and hardening performed by a human security expert.
What does “Complete White Glove Service” mean?
Complete Security includes human expert website cleanup and comprehensive security evaluation and hardening.
A Pair security expert performs these services. When cleanup is needed, the expert removes malware from the website. The expert also evaluates the website’s security and applies “hardening” measures to increase security. These services supplement the plan’s automated detection, removal, and protection measures.
Pair refers to these human expert services collectively as “white glove service.”
What’s the difference between Defense and ThreatShield?
The Defense plan continuously scans your site for malware, injected code, malicious uploads and other unauthorized file changes. When it detects a threat, it automatically takes the appropriate remediation action. Depending on the detection, it may quarantine the file, remove injected code from it, or overwrite it with a known safe version. Defense can also terminate a process that it identifies as malicious.
ThreatShield includes everything in Defense and adds proactive protection. Its web application firewall (WAF) monitors incoming traffic and blocks malicious requests before they reach your website. ThreatShield also monitors PHP execution and can stop malicious code before it completes a harmful action.
Defense detects and responds to malicious activity. ThreatShield includes those capabilities and adds firewall and runtime protection designed to stop attacks before they can affect your website.
Does it protect every site on the account?
Yes. Pair Malware Security protects all websites hosted on the account. Dark Web Monitoring, an additional feature included free with several of the Pair Malware Security tiers, applies per domain and must be enabled individually for each domain you want monitored.
Can customers upgrade later?
Yes. You can upgrade your Pair Malware Security plan if you decide you need additional protection or services.

Will it remove existing malware?
Defense, ThreatShield, and Complete Security include automatic removal of detected malware, including malware already present on the account. Detection identifies malware, but does not remove it.
Complete Security also includes website cleanup by a human expert for cases requiring a more thorough cleanup.
Will Pair Malware Security prevent all security incidents?
No. No security product can guarantee that a website will never be compromised.
Pair Malware Security can reduce your risk by detecting and blocking malicious activity based on the features included with your plan. You should still follow website security best practices.
