Website backups help protect your data by storing copies in a separate location, making it easier to recover from accidental changes, deleted files, security issues, or unexpected server problems.
Site Backups give you access to historical restore points and 24/7 access through the Account Control Center, so you can quickly restore your website when needed and keep your online presence running with confidence.
All accounts at Pair Networks do come with a default level of backup service that are intended to restore the entire server in the event of a hardware failure.
In the case of unwanted file changes, or deletions that happened some time ago, Site Backups can be a safeguard in two ways:

 

Keeps historic restore points of your data so you can select a specific date undo unwanted changes, fix exploits on your site, or correct accidental deletions that may have previously gone unnoticed.

Makes your data immediately accessible through the Account Control Center 24/7, when you need it.

Disclaimer: Please note that the Site Backups service will not include database contents for databases on Shared Hosting accounts or accounts with the databases running on a different server. For such accounts, you can set up automatic DB backups using cron to have backup files placed into your regular account space. The Website Backups service will then include those files in the off-site archives.

How it Works

  • Once logged into the Account Control Center, all you need to do is choose the date you want to restore your backup from, then select if it’s for your whole directory or individual files. You also have the option to exclude specific directories or files.
  • Site Backups include general hosting account data. For shared hosting accounts, this does -NOT- include MySQL databases or e-mail boxes as those are stored off the server.

How To Sign Up

  • Log in to the Account Control Center
  • Click on “Backups”
  • Click “Activate File Backups”
    • Select the amount of storage for backups
  • Click “Add Server Backups”
    • The backup service will begin to run overnight and you’ll be able to see the data once that first run finishes.
