The customer can visit their site management page in the ACC and force a backup. This will only happen when the customer initiates the backup and will not repeat. See our <a href=\"https:\/\/pairnet.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/18223824652183\">Manual Backups<\/a> article for more instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scheduled\/Automated<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On Managed WordPress and Podcast Websites hosting accounts, scheduled site backups can be set up in the Account Control Center (ACC). Sites can be configured to backup daily or once a week and hold up to 5 backups at a time. See our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pair.com\/support\/kb\/automatic-backups-for-individual-wordpress-sites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Setting Up Automatic Backups for Individual WordPress Sites<\/a> article for more instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>File Backups<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>File Backups allow the customer to access the contents of the backup. Since file backups have a customer-facing interface, you can recover batches of files or a single file easily from your past backups. See our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pair.com\/support\/kb\/cab-backups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What are File Backups?<\/a> article for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I manage my current backups?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can manage your site\u2019s existing backups by going to the List Sites interface and clicking the Backups tab. To get to the Backups tab:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose the tutorial that reflects your ACC interface type:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#if-you-are-using-the-legacy-interface\">Legacy Interface<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#if-you-are-using-the-new-acc-interface\">New ACC Interface<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not sure what the difference is? Log in to the <a href=\"http:\/\/my.pair.com\/\">Account Control Center (ACC)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Click <strong>WordPress<\/strong> in the left sidebar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Click <strong>List Sites<\/strong> in the drop-down<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Click on the Nickname of the site you\u2019d like to backup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. You can delete, restore, or manually create backups here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I schedule or automate backups?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can easily schedule backups in your Managed WordPress hosting Account Control Center (you can log in at <a href=\"http:\/\/my.pair.com\/\">my.pair.com<\/a>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For specific instructions, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pair.com\/support\/kb\/automatic-backups-for-individual-wordpress-sites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Automatic Backups for Individual WordPress Sites article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Do backups count against my account\u2019s storage space?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, both your manual and automatic backups will count against your account's disk space.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/pairnet.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/17884005001879\">file backups<\/a> are purchased separately and come with their own storage space separate from your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is backed up?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pair Networks backup system makes a copy of the database and backs up the WordPress installation directory, as well as Pair's metadata about the installation itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why do I have more backups listed than the number I listed to be backed up?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This may happen because backups are not cleaned until a new automatic backup is taken. This means that any manual backups you have taken or past automatic backups will still be stored until a new backup is taken.
