It is especially useful if you are using a <\/span>child theme<\/span><\/a> and do not have access to the actual site files. There are two primary ways of accessing the <\/span>functions.php<\/span><\/i> file:<\/span><\/p>\n \t\t

To access the functions.php<\/em> file through your WordPress Admin interface, follow these steps:<\/span>

  1. Log in to the WordPress Admin interface<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. In the left sidebar, hover over <\/span>Appearances<\/b>, then click <\/span>Theme Editor\"theme<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
  3. In the right sidebar, click <\/span>functions.php\"theme<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This will bring up the functions.php<\/em> code editor. You can write code directly in this interface and save it. <\/span><\/p>\n
