The Gutenberg Block Editor interface allows you to create your own kind of blocks. These blocks are called Reusable Blocks. They are stored in their own <\/span>Reusable<\/b> category in the Search for Block interface. <\/span><\/p>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tMake sure you are using the <\/span>Gutenberg Block editor<\/span><\/a>. If you upgraded to <\/span>WordPress 5<\/span><\/a>, then your post and page editor will default to use the Gutenberg editor. If you are still using WordPress 4 (or earlier) or have the <\/span>Classic Editor<\/span><\/a> installed, then your editor will not work with this tutorial.<\/span> \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

How to Create Reusable Blocks<\/span><\/h3>\n

To create reusable blocks, follow these steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the post or page editor in the WordPress admin interface<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Add a block<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>format it the way you want it to appear<\/span><\/a> when reused. If you plan to code the block yourself, consider using the<\/span> Custom HTML<\/span> block<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Select the block by clicking it

    \r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t \t\t\t\t

    \r\n \t\t\t\t\tMake sure the block is selected. If it is not, then the next steps will not work. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t

  4. Click the <\/span>More Options<\/b> dots in the top nav bar\"more<\/a>

  5. In the drop-down, click <\/span>Add to Reusable Blocks\"add<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Enter a name for the block and click <\/span>Save\"save<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
