If you need hosting under other top-level domains (TLDs), or prefer to use another registrar, you are more than welcome to do so. Pair Networks will configure our nameservers for any domain name you choose, allowing you to complete the registration elsewhere easily.

If you are interested in registering a domain name, you can do so at Pair Domains.

Can I host multiple domain names in the same account? If so, what account level is required?

Yes, definitely. You can do this with many of our accounts. The only restrictions are that all sites must be maintained by the same individual or group, and the disk and transfer (bandwidth) allowances are shared among all sites on the account.

Please note that our Shared Hosting plans specify and limit the number of unique sites you can host. However, you can point an unlimited number of domain names to those sites.

How does Pair define a “domain” versus a “site?”

Our Shared Hosting plans limit the number of Sites you can have per account.

A "Site" refers to a unique content directory or a distinct set of site contents.

On the other hand, “domains” or “domain names” are registered web addresses that point to your site content (“site"). While the number of unique websites is restricted based on your hosting plan, there's no limit to the number of domain names you can link to your website(s). For instance, you could direct domain.com, domain.org, and mydomain.net to the same website within your hosting account.

Please note that the site limit applies only to our current generation of Shared Hosting plans, which were introduced on February 2, 2026.

Do I need to have a domain name on my account?

No, you are not required to have a domain name on your account.
You may also use a Pair Networks subdomain, which function exactly like regular domains, but which ends in "pairsite.com."
Please note that some pairsite.com subdomains have already been reserved.
You can also use the URL "http://username.pairserver.com" where "username" is your Pair Networks username, to access your website if you do not have any domain names on your account.

Does each domain name have its own unique IP address?

Our default hosting option is Dedicated IP domain hosting, which allows a unique IP address to be associated with the domain name. However, when adding a domain name to your account, you can choose the Shared IP domain hosting option, which allows your domain name to still have its own Web space on your account but allows the domain name to share an IP address. There are no monthly fees with the Shared IP option, and there is a $2.50/month fee for the Dedicated IP domain hosting option.

May I use other registrars?

Absolutely. You may choose to use any registrar under any top-level domain (TLD) that suits your needs. Pair Networks will configure nameservers for your domain name and provide that information to you. We can host any domain name you like.

I wish to host multiple domain names on the same account. Will I be able to set up a separate username and password for each domain name?

It depends. If your account type comes with multiple FTP logins, you may set up users to access specific directories.

If you need more logins than what's provided, you will need to either upgrade your hosting account or open a separate account.

If you only need to allow a separate individual or group to access the email addressed to a domain name, you may do that by configuring one of your account's mailboxes to receive email for that domain name.

How do I point my existing domain name to my Pair Networks hosting account?

This requires two steps:

1. Submit the domain name to us through the Account Control Center (for an existing account) or as part of a new account signup.

2. Modify the name servers with your registrar.

If you wish to take advantage of our integrated registrar service, Pair Domains, that cannot be done at the same time you are modifying the name servers. You may, however, choose to transfer to Pair Domains afterward.

Can I create subdomains?

Yes. If you host example.com with us, then you may also create and host othername.example.com. No registrar interaction is required, and each such subdomain can use either Dedicated IP, Shared IP, or Parked domain hosting.

To create a subdomain of a domain name that is already on your account, follow these simple instructions:

Choose the tutorial that reflects your ACC interface type:

Legacy Interface

New ACC Interface

Not sure what the difference is?
