Mailboxes, also referred to as custom email addresses, are available on many Pair hosting accounts. This article answers commonly asked questions about the email hosting service Pair Networks provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I use email hosting on my account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Pair Networks email solution allows you to create email addresses, referred to as \"mailboxes\" directly in your account. These email addresses will use a domain you are hosting on the account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, if you are hosting example.com<\/em> on your account, you can create a mailbox with the address: myname@example.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note: if you do not have a domain name hosted on your account, you will be unable to use the email hosting service. If you wish to use the service without registering a domain, we recommend creating a pairsite subdomain on your account. This will open the email interface for use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I access my mailbox?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After you have created a mailbox, it will take some time for the new mailbox to be set up. After it has been created in our system, you will be able to log in to the mailbox using our Webmail<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This platform lets you log in to your new mailbox with the email address and password you selected during creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have logged in to the webmail interface with your new mailbox, you will be able to view, manage, and send emails from your new address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also set up your email to work with many popular email clients. It will work with any POP3 or IMAP client. We have tutorials for setting up Pair Networks mailboxes with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I set up custom configurations for my mailboxes, like automatic forwarding?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In our Account Control Center (ACC), we've created an interface that allows you to easily create custom configurations for your mailbox. These rules are called recipes. Recipes can be applied to one mailbox or all mailboxes on a domain. You can read about recipes in detail in our article: Email Recipes: Email Forwarding, Autoresponders, and Advanced Configurations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I have multiple custom configurations per mailbox?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you are using our mailbox recipes to set up your custom mailbox configuration, then you may have as many recipes on your mailbox as you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many mailboxes are included with my account?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pair Platinum Mail\u2019s email service may be added to all current generation Shared hosting plans, while VPS\/Dedicated hosting plans come with mailboxes included. See more information for your account type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Login to the Account Control Center (ACC) at my.pair.com<\/a>
2. Click your user name in the top right corner
3. In the drop-down, click Your Hosting Package Details<\/strong> (or Account Settings <\/strong>if you are using the New ACC interface)

Your mailbox allotment is listed in the Account Limits<\/em> section<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Previous Generation Accounts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If your account is from a previous generation, it may include email (often referred to as \u201cmailboxes\u201d). Follow these steps to determine if your account includes mailboxes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Login to the Account Control Center (ACC) at my.pair.com<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to the top navigation bar and click on your username<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In the drop-down, click Your Hosting Package Details<\/strong> (or Account Settings <\/strong>if you are using the New ACC interface)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Find your account's mailbox allotment in the Account Limits <\/em>section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What happens if I need more mailboxes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    You can change your Pair Platinum Mail plan at any time via the Account Control Center. See the instructions for your hosting type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Previous Generation Accounts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If your account is from a previous generation, then legacy rules may apply to your account. In this case, mailboxes may be added to your account for an extra $1\/month per mailbox. Contact our support team for details. These extra mailboxes will appear as an overusage charge on your billing statement each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are my mailbox's outgoing and incoming server names?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you are setting your mailbox up for use with an email client, you will need outgoing and incoming server names.
