You can use SSH to connect to a database that was created in the <\/span>Account Control Center (ACC)<\/span><\/a>. By doing this, you will be able to make changes from the terminal\/command line. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connecting to Your Database with SSH<\/h3>\n\n\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tNote that when databases are created, an access level has to be selected. If you have a <\/span>local only<\/b> access level, you will not be able to make remote connections. Be sure that the access level allows the type of connection you are trying to make.<\/span> \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n\n\n\n

  1. Connect to your account using SSH. For instructions on connecting to your account with SSH, <\/span>How to Connect to Your Account with SSH<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Once you have logged in to your account, type in the command:
    <\/span> 
    mysql -h dbDomain.pair.com -u dbUser -p dbName <\/span><\/pre> 
      
     DBdomain.pair.com<\/b> <\/td> This is your database\u2019s server.<\/span><\/td> <\/tr> 
      DBuser<\/b><\/td> This is your database\u2019s user. <\/span>

    This user is not the same as your account username. Each database has three different users, each one with different access levels. For more information about the users and their access levels, see our article, <\/span>How to Find Your Database Username<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p> <\/td> <\/tr> 
     DBName<\/b> <\/td> This is your database\u2019s name.<\/span><\/td> <\/tr> <\/tbody> <\/table> <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter the database password<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    If you are using the Legacy Interface:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
