With the automatic WordPress site backup feature, you can set default backup settings that will be applied to newly created sites and sites configured to use the default settings. See the instructions below for more information.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Changing Default Backup Settings<\/h2>\n

Changing default backup settings will affect all sites configured to use default settings and any new sites you create.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go to the WordPress Backups interface. See How to Find WordPress Automatic Backups Interface article<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Find the \"Default Backup Settings\" section. Your default settings are listed here.Tip: Don\u2019t see any options? You may need to set your backup status to \u201cActive.\u201d

    \nYou can change the following defaults:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
    Backup Status<\/td>\nThis category gives you the ability to make backups active or inactive by default:<\/p>\n
      \n
    • Active<\/strong>: Sites configured to use default settings and newly created sites will take backups<\/li>\n
    • Inactive<\/strong>: Sites configured to use default settings and newly created sites will not take backups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Schedule<\/td>\nSchedule on what day backups should be taken. You can select a day of the week to repeat weekly or every day.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Backups to Keep<\/td>\nThis category establishes how many backups should be kept. Once the limit is reached, the oldest backup will be deleted to make room for the new backup. Five backups is the current maximum number of backups.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n
