Setting up your Email for the Apple Mail Application<\/h3>\n\n\n \t\t

Note that these instructions are for Apple Mail version 14.0 and may not work for other versions.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Open your Mac's Mail<\/strong> application\"Mac<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In the top navigation bar, click <\/span>Mail<\/b><\/li>\n
  3. Then select <\/span>Add Account<\/b> from the drop-down\"add<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Select <\/span>Other Mail Account<\/b>, then click <\/span>Continue\"other<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
  5. Enter the following information: <\/span>
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
    Name<\/span><\/td>\nThis is a name to help you identify the account.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Email Address<\/span><\/td>\nThis is the email address for the account.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Password<\/span><\/td>\nThis is the password for the email account.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

  6. Click <\/span>Sign In<\/b><\/li>\n
  7. On the next page, enter the additional information:<\/span>

    User Name<\/span><\/td>\nThis is the email address for the account.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Account Type<\/span><\/td>\nChoose between IMAP and POP. The two have very specific qualities, so we recommend you read our <\/span>IMAP vs POP article<\/span><\/a> if you're not sure which one to choose. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Incoming Mail Server<\/span><\/td>\nThis is the incoming mail server. Depending on your account, it will either follow the format: user.mail.pairserver.com <\/em>or m<\/em>ailX.pair.com<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can find the exact mail server for your account by following the instructions in our Finding Your Incoming and Outgoing Servers article<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    Outgoing Mail Server<\/span><\/td>\nThis is the outgoing mail server. Depending on your account, it will either follow the format: user.mail.pairserver.com <\/em>or m<\/em>ailX.pair.com<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

  8. Click <\/span>Sign In<\/b><\/li>\n

    Your Pair email address should now be added to your Apple Mail client. <\/span><\/p>\n
