Learn how to add Google Fonts to your WordPress site.
This video will walk you through changing your WordPress fonts.
So the first thing you need to do is log in to your WordPress account through the Account Control Center. Once you’re in your WordPress admin editor, go to the left sidebar and hover over Appearance. A drop-down will appear. Click Editor.
In the right sidebar, find and click your theme’s head file. This will likely be something like header.php. Now keep this page open. We’re going to be coming back to it soon.
But right now, I’m going to go get a Google font or two from the Google fonts website. You can add fonts by clicking this plus button in the right corner of the font box. Click this black bar at the bottom of the screen when you are finished. This is your font “cart.”
Now, once you’ve opened your font cart, go under Embed Font and click Standard. Under Standard, copy the text.
Now, leave this page open and go back to your theme files and paste this code you just copied in the <head> element of the header file. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update File.
Now go back to the Google fonts page and copy the text under Specify in CSS. Go back to your WordPress admin interface, go to the left sidebar, and under Appearance, click Customize.
Click Additional CSS. Paste the text here. Be sure to encase the text in curly braces and add the elements you want the font to affect.
For example, I’m going to change the font only for paragraphs, so I’m going to put a ‘p’ in front of this.
