An overview of the process

  1. Create a free pairsite.com subdomain that uses Weebly Hosting
  2. Develop the Weebly site on the pairsite.com subdomain
  3. When done, move the Weebly site to the "real" domain name
  4. If desired, delete the pairsite.com subdomain and the accompanying test site

Creating a pairsite.com subdomain:

  1. Log in to the Account Control Center (ACC)
  2. In the left sidebar, click Add Ons from the menu
  3. In the drop-down, select Weebly Site Builder
  4. In the Add a Weebly Site section, select the Add a New Weebly Subdomain
  5. Enter your desired beginning to your pairsite domain in the text box
  6. Click the field behind the text box and select pairsite.com
  7. Click the Add Weebly Site button
  8. Select your desired Weebly plan

Moving the Weebly test site:

Once you have a site that you are happy with, and you have a new domain picked out and set up with Weebly hosting for the live site, you can move the Weebly site to the new domain.

  2. In the drop-down, select Weebly Site Builder
  3. Find your new pairsite Weebly site
  4. Click the Action button next to your pairsite site
  5. In the drop-down, click Change URL
  6. Select whether you want to move the site to a domain already on your account, onto a new domain, or a new subdomain.
