Pair Site Builder makes it easy to customize your site’s appearance.
Step 1: Access Your Pair Site Builder Site Editor
Site customization takes place in the site editor interface, so you must first navigate there.
- Log in to your Pair Site Builder interface. See Logging in to Your Pair Site Builder Site
- In the left sidebar, hover over the Appearance tab
- In the drop-down, click Editor
Step 2: Customize Your Site
In the Pair Site Builder site editor, you can make changes to your site’s appearance, including:

Navigation
In the Navigation tab, you will find a list of pages that make up your site’s current navigation bar.
1 | Click the icon to see additional options: - Rename: Rename the navigation bar - Duplicate: Create a copy of the current navigation bar - Delete: Delete the navigation bar |
2 | Click the icon to enter the navigation’s block editor. You can edit the navigation bar using the WordPress block tools. See Block Basics for more information. |
3 | This is a list of your current navigation menu items. You can click and drag any page to rearrange the page order. Rearranging the order may also change the navigation bar. |
4 | This is your site’s live preview. Changes you make to your site will appear here. |
Styles
In the Styles tab, you will find a collection of different styles you can apply to your current website design. Click on the different styles to preview them.
1 | Click the icon to view the style book for the currently selected design. |
2 | Click the icon to enter the block editor. You can add/remove blocks and make changes via the block sidebar on the right of the screen. See Block Basics for more information. |
3 | This is a list of available styles. Click on any style to preview it in the site previewer (shown in area 4). |
4 | This is your site’s live preview. Changes you make to your site will appear here. |
5 | If you’ve made changes to your site, you can click the Last Modified tab to see a list of revisions. To roll back to a previous revision, click on the revision, then click the Apply button. |
Pages
In the Pages tab, you will find a list of your existing pages.
1 | Click the + button to add a new page. |
2 | This is a list of your site’s pages. Click on each page to see additional details. |
3 | Click the Manage all pages button to see a list of all pages, including drafts and pages in the trash. |
Individual Page Settings
If you click any of the pages, the page will appear in the site preview and new page-specific settings will appear in the left sidebar.
Manage All Pages Settings
From the Manage all pages tab, you can easily view your pages, drafts, and pages that you have placed in the trash.

6 | Click Bulk Edit to apply bulk actions to your pages. Note: You must check the box next to one or more pages in order to apply bulk edits. |

8 | This is a list of the pages. Click on the name of a page to open the page editor. |

Templates
Templates are a pre-designed foundation you can use to build your pages. Pair Site Builder comes equipped with templates you can use for your site. In the Templates tab, you can view the available templates.

Manage All Templates
Clicking the Manage all templates button will take you to the Manage Templates interface.

3 | Click the +Add filter button to filter search results based on specific parameters. |

Patterns
Patterns are individual designs that you can use in templates, pages, and posts. Once created, Patterns are added to your block editor so you can easily access them during the editing process. See Editing a Page with Pair Site Builder.
In the Patterns tab, you can view all available patterns. In the left sidebar, you can click the different options to sort the patterns based on location or function.

6 | Click the Sync Status button to filter search results based on two options: - Synced: patterns that are kept in sync across the site - Not Synced: patterns that can be changed freely without affecting the site. |

10 | A lock indicates that the pattern cannot be edited. |
11 | Use the icon to reveal actions you can apply to the pattern. |
Manage All Template Parts
The Manage All Template Parts interface displays a list of all template parts. Template parts can be used when creating new templates. While similar to a pattern, template parts cannot be used in posts or pages. See Creating a Template with Pair Site Builder.

Save Changes
To save your changes, click the Review # change… button at the bottom of the sidebar. Once you have reviewed the changes, click the Save button.
