Learn how to use the ACC to edit files:
Hi. This is Sean and I’m going to show you how to edit and create files in the Account Control Center today.
So once you’re logged in, on the left side of the screen is your menu. Scroll down to Files and click on the directory where you want to create the file. Today we’re going to create a file in one of our web directories so we’ll click Web and we’re going to do this in kbtesting.pairsite.com, so we want to click on the folder icon to get into that directory, then up top on the right.
Here, we have a few options for doing things and we want to click New File and what we’re going to create today is called a .user.ini file and that file is used for adjusting PHP settings.
So in the editing file line, here, we write in .user.ini and one of the settings that is commonly in need of adjusting is the upload file size and in PHP. That is controlled by upload_max_filesize. We’re going to set that to be 30 megabytes and once we’re done, we’ll click Create File and it says that .user.ini has been saved.
But I forgot something about this. In addition to the upload max file size, we should also adjust the post max size for PHP. And so we want to edit this file again. We’re going to click Edit and it’s going to take us right back into this editor and on the next line down, we’re going to add post_max_size = 35M;
