NOTE: The PHP 5.1.1 upgrades have now been rescheduled.

Beginning on 12/7/05, we will be upgrading Ruby to version 1.8.3, the PHP5 CGI to version 5.1.1, and installing the MySQL 4.1.15 client libraries on all shared user servers. Quickserve machines will be done in January, or earlier by request (made to qs@pair.com).

The Ruby update includes Ruby Gems 0.8.11. Along with the MySQL client library, the DBD::mysql Perl module will be updated.

Notes:

• Any account with compiled code that includes MySQL functions may need to recompile that code to take advantage of any new features of the 4.1.15 client libraries.
