Mailing List Services
The pairList® mailing list service offers a viable option for sending e-mail to a number of subscribers. pairList® can be used for small lists on a specific topic or as a large announcement list to inform customers of upcoming events. A powerful Web interface allows for easy customization and quick management of any mailing list.Mailing lists work by taking one e-mail message and sending it to a specified list of e-mail addresses. A subscriber sends e-mail to the mailing list address. This allows for one address to be used instead of multiple addresses. Once the e-mail is sent to the mailing list, the mailing list software determines what addresses should receive the mail and sends a copy of the message to each address.
pairList® employs the open source software Mailman as its software solution. This software allows for great flexibility and a wide range of features. After evaluating many alternatives, we are presently committed to continuing our use of Mailman indefinitely.
A certain allotment of pairList® mailing lists are included with all of our premium pair.com Web hosting plans. You can use additional lists over this allotment amount for a nominal $5/month per list fee. To ensure optimal performance, we request that subscriber lists be kept below 1,000 entries.
