Account Control Center Tour - Advanced Features
The Advanced Features section offers tools and features for the advanced user such as System CGI scripts (such as graphical counters), MySQL database creation and management, addtional FTP login management, cron jobs creation and management, and Web site file archival services.
For Basic level and higher accounts, you have access to certain System CGI scripts that you can use to enhance your Web site. The example shown here offers an easy way to add a graphical counter to your Web site.
Using the ACC, it's easy to create and manage your databases. Please note that only Advanced level and higher accounts can create and use databases.
You can manage different aspects of your database via the ACC such as changing passwords, creating backup copies, restricting access, and scheduling database optimization.
The Create Cron Job section of the ACC allows you to create and schedule certain commands to run at certain times. Cron jobs can be used to make backup copies of your Web site or to rotate certain pages on your site at regular intervals. Cron jobs can save you a lot of account administration time. The implementation of these cron jobs is a cinch using the ACC Cron Job feature.
You can easily create a back up of your Web site by saving a copy of your Home, Web, Logs, FTP, and SSL directories using the ACC's Archive feature.
You can allow other users to use File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to upload files to your Web hosting account using the ACC "Additional FTP Logins" feature. Please note that only customers with a Webmaster or higher account level can take advantage of this feature.
You can manage settings such as passwords and directory access for the additional FTP users you add to your Web hosting account.
