The Technical Writer is responsible for developing and maintaining internal and external technical communication documents; planning and creating training materials; plus, various business development tasks.
Essential Duties Include:
- Works with all departments to develop technical communication deliverables
- Creates internal and external technical documents
- Maintains existing internal and external technical documents
- Creates advertising and marketing copy
- Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to brainstorm, research, and create training materials and seminars
- Completes various projects, assignments, and research as directed by the Senior Business Development Associate
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree and/or experience in a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the Web hosting and domain name registration industry
- Technical skills, including an understanding of UNIX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX are a plus
- Knowledge of general business concepts

- Monitor server stability
- Perform routine system tasks
- Process automated requests
- Work on customer support team related projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or other experience in a related discipline
- Experience with Unix
- Clear understanding of the World Wide Web and Web Hosting
- Strong familiarity with the Internet
- Positive and courteous customer service attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Fluent use of e-mail
- Meticulous attention to detail

- Develop and maintain critical code in Perl
- Work with other programmers and management to effectively deliver completed projects
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Familiarity with the Perl programming language
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Internet and BSD Unix systems programming
- Experience with network programming (Sockets and TCP/IP)
- Experience developing code to specifications as part of a team
- Experience with mod_perl, and RDBMS such as MySQL and PostgreSQL strongly preferred
